The journey of applying for the NDIS can be a difficult and confusing time, especially for applicants who experience cognitive issues, are chronically exhausted or have other accessibility issues. NCS proudly provide free face to face, one-on-one NDIS consultations which aim to help you, or the person you care for, understand the NDIS at any step of your journey. There are a number of criteria to be eligible for the NDIS such as:

  3. Disability requirements
  4. Early Intervention requirements

Our highly skilled and qualified nurses offer a range of home nursing services to meet your treatment needs. Whether it’s to manage a health condition or disability, allow you to move back home after a stay at hospital, looking out for any complications or pass away in the comfort of your home with palliative care, National Care Society has an experienced and compassionate team to help. We provide short term care while you recover from an injury, illness or surgery, or long-term care depending on your needs.

Our compassionate nurses work together with you, your family, your doctors, and other health professionals 7 days a week to ensure that you receive regular treatment and best possible care.

When you can’t do the cleaning yourself, your physical and mental health is greatly impacted. Our team provides professional and reliable home cleaning services tailored to your needs, whether that is a regularly scheduled clean or just a one off spring clean to get your home feeling clean and fresh.

Personal care looks different to everyone as we all have our own unique habits. Our personal care services are designed to your needs and are respectful, gentle, and will work with you to maintain your dignity.

Our team provides personal care to you in privacy and with a great degree of comfort.

Community and Social Connection and Participation is all about supporting people with disability to remain a part of their community.

A support worker can assist you participate in your favourite sport, getting transport to a regular activity, learning, and practicing a new skill, or staying at an overnight camp in the holidays.

Together with you, NCS will create a plan with different types of activities and a mix of supports and provide plenty of assistance along the way.

Before you are discharged home, NCS will take a little time with you and your family to plan ahead to ensure that you are on the right path recovery once home. We will work with the hospital team to support you to:
  • experience an easy and smooth discharge
  • make sure your medications and hospital paperwork are packed with you
  • have changes made to your home
  • getting the right equipment
  • look after your nutritional changes
  • monitor any complications that may arise once home.

Once we know you are settled and OK, we will call you in the weeks ahead for a welfare check.

The NDIS can be a very intimidating experience. Thankfully our experienced & dedicated Support Coordinators at NCS have the experience to make navigating the NDIS a smoother experience. They will support you to make informed choices to choose how you want your services to be provided and who you want to provide them. Our team will get those services set up – including supporting you to decide the budget for each type of support plus negotiating prices and service agreements, fully exercising your choice and control.
