Fun, Laughter And Food – A Great Turn Out For Our First Participant BBQ Get Together

NCS’s first group BBQ for participants and their families started with the words ‘I would like to have a BBQ’ by one of our participants.

The idea just grew from there!

And when you live in sunny FNQ, where better than a BBQ in the great outdoors, on the beach.

Holloways Beach saw our tribe coming from a mile away and we descended into the BBQ area with eskies full of meat, salads, and sweet treats. NCS staff brought their Bhutanese and Nepali cultural flair to the BBQ with spices that the neighbourhood were salivating over (in all honesty, we were too!)

The positive vibes were contagious and if anyone was to look over to our party, they would see over 30 adults and kids running around, eating, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company.  Just what a BBQ should be.

A special shout out to the participant who started our NCS tradition and the NCS team that pulled it all together. We are the A Team.
